The Skincare Industry is Worth Billions!

Yet the industry continues to favor women and those coming from privilege. A study found that only 37% of men interviewed reported using skincare on a daily basis and it largely has to do with what the current market looks like. - marketing and aesthetics clearly targetting women. However, the problem in the skincare industry isn’t just a gender problem. It’s a socioeconomic and sometimes even a race problem. There’s a clear gap in the market and skincare seems to be a “wealthy person’s game”

Gen Z: The Changemakers

Gen Z accounts for 40% of Global Consumers as of 2020 and they are demanding radical changes. They are placing a strong emphasis on radical transparency, purpose behind purchasing, along with strong brand aesthetics both online and offline. All of these are sweeping tendencies within Gen Z that seem to be leaving giants in the dust.
